What to Wear to the Essence Festival?

My boyfriend and I are going to, one of my favorite cities, New Orleans for the 2017 Essences Festival.  The Essence festival, known as the “party with a purpose”, is an annual music festival, to celebrate the anniversary of Essence magazine, a magazine aimed primarily towards African – American women.  The festival has performances by varies artist, panels where black politicians/known leaders discuss current events and conferences.

After my boyfriend and I agreed to attend the festival. I quickly draft a shopping list. I know it’s going to be super-HOT in NOLA so I want to make sure I show a lot of skin. Just kidding 🙂  Below are a few looks, I plan to pack inside my suitcase.

I call this look the best of both worlds. It’s sporty yet girly.  Sport on top and girly at the bottom. The bright yellow clutch makes the outfit POP!

This lightweight floral dress is super cute for the day time. If I want to change the look from day to night, I’ll add a leather motorcycle jacket.

This edgy look is great for a night out. The bulldog clutch is a great conversation starter and it’s SUPER cute. All I need is a red lip.

This is my comfortable Sundaze look. Whether I want to enjoy a boozy brunch or explore different art galleries around the city. Same with the 2nd look, I’ll add a leather motorcycle jacket for a night look.

Slide3 I love bar hopping on Bourbon street because almost ever bar has live music from bands around the world.  This jumpsuit is sexy and good to bust a move in. The off-the-shoulder is currently in my shopping cart…It’s so Fab!
