Seven months ago, I’ve gained so much weight. I tried diet pills, “starving” myself and expensive juice cleanses. But after failed attempts, I decided to do things the old fashion way.
In two months, I lost 15 pounds. Family and friends asked what’s my secret? I laughed it off and said I just go to the gym. But, this blog post I am going to share my “secrets” with you all. Below are my diet and workout tips.
Drink plenty of water
Seriously, it works. I drink eight to ten bottles of water a day. If you’re bored with the taste add lemon.
Don’t skip meals
When you skip a meal it slows down your metabolism. If you want to speed it up, have small meals every 2-3 hours. If you don’t want a full meal, have a snack.
Exercise 3-4 days a week. If you don’t have time or don’t like the gym—walk. Recently, I haven’t made time for the gym but when I go to work, I walk from 35th street and 8th avenue to 53rd and 3rd avenue.
Foods to avoid
Artificially sweetened drinks: Juice, soda and frappuccino.
Cut back on the alcohol
Any snack that contains carbs: Bread, rice need I say more?

Foods to help lose weight
Whole eggs: The natural protein helps burn fat. Don’t be afraid to eat a whole egg, it’s good fat.
Meats: Salmon, turkey and chicken
Green salad: The darker the leaves the healthier it is
Sleep like a baby
Get up to 8 hours of sleep, your body and skin will thank you.
