A few days ago I traveled to the upper East side, East 92nd to be exact, to adopt a cat from the ASPCA. I dragged my brother along for the trip. I walked into the waiting area and was pleasantly surprised at the number of people waiting to adopt a dog or cat from the ASPCA. After I filled out the survey/application and showed proof of address, my brother and I were greeted by a volunteer who showed us where the cats were.
We went into a few different rooms but I didn’t find my “baby” yet. The volunteer showed my brother and I a room where all the kittens lay. I looked around and I saw this one kitten that was playing with another furry friend. “What about this kitten?” I asked the volunteer
“Let’s see,” said the volunteer as she read the basic information about the kitten.
“He’s available, want to hold him?”
“Okay” I must admit I was a bit nervous because I didn’t want to hurt him. But once I held the kitten I knew he was the one and I automatically fell in love.
“I’ll take him,” I said to the volunteer as I smiled and looked down at my new kitten.
Tomorrow morning, I will be on the 10am train to NY to pick up my adorable kitten, Greenie. 🙂
Pictures coming soon ❤
